Unlock Your Dreams

November Challenge at Home and Scrapped.

November is here and I can smell Christmas in the air.

I hope you enjoyed the challenges the Design Team ladies had for you in October and had some fun joining in.

This month's criteria are:

Gain inspiration from fairytales. Use a quote, get inspiration from the characters, the storyline, the authors or whatever sparks your imagination.

If you have a scrapping style or technique which you always use - don't use it. I challenge you to step outside your scrapping equivalent of your favourite comfy lounge chair.  I reached past the brown and black inks to the pastels (which were in the bottom of the box). I used the only pastel blue papers I have in my stash. Ask Carl!! Finding pastel blue paper was the hardest part of this challenge. Did you notice something??... I didn't tear, fold, crumple or distress a single piece of paper.

Do some "fussy cutting". I don't like that term, it conveys a feeling of "it's all too much bother". Instead, pick up your scissors or craft knife and cut a design from a piece of patterned paper, printed vellum or whatever you have handy in your stash and use it on your layout. I like cutting out. Much like colouring in, I find it relaxing. See that cherub? It's cut from a piece of gorgeous printed vellum I've had for YEARS because it was too beautiful to leave in the shop.

Because the layout has lots of white stamping and rub ons adorning it they didn't photograph very well so I've included a few little close ups to show you the detail.

Have fun and don't forget to share your creations for some goodness to come your way.
